First of all, I want to say thank you to those who commented in my last journal and offered wonderful opinions. It will really helped me when developing a character.

Now onto the main point of this journal.

DeviantArt design a new feature which have groups look like organize groups whether than normal DeviantArt accounts. That isn't a problem, it is an actually great idea and will get a lot of people into the community. This is a very useful feature that will bring fans and people together to share a common interest.

However, there is a couple things I am noticing recently and I can't help but to feel annoyed.

I am seeing an increase of fan characters getting their own fan club. Not original characters with a well developed background, good design, and an overall great characteristic that can well earn them a fanbase. A group for that character I don't mind. After all, if the creator spent a long time developing the character and series right, they deserve to have a group dedicated to them.

But this isn't the case. I am seeing Amy from Sonic The Hedgehog being painted green and have an unoriginal design to her. Then a fan character where she looks like if Sonic and Shadow decided to fuck Amy and produce an offspring. A group for two gay Sonic fan characters who are both unoriginal. I do not understand why these shitty and poorly design fan characters that have bullshit background are getting fanclubs. I am willingly to bet 99% of these fan characters doesn't have an actual fanbase, just idiotic friends supporting each other because they don't want to be mean. It isn't just Sonic The Hedgehog fan characters, I'm sure every horribly designed fan character of each series out there are getting their own little group so that creator can pretend they're popular and speshul.

Your little recolored fan character with a shitty background and shitty design isn't awesome. Making a group for them will not make you popular or important. Stop begging your friends and other artist to draw your character so it looks like they're popular by the number of pictures they have. Once more, stop holding a contest every damn month just so you can see your fan character being drawn and not do shit when it comes to prizes.

Goddamn.

Also, I don't know where you people think it is acceptable to create a group for lolicon and shotacon. I believe DeviantArt made a rule where underage characters will not be place in sexual situation. I suppose people are getting the wrong idea of lolicon and shotacon. To some, it means drawing cute bashful little girls and boys. But it isn't. Lolicon and shotacon is basically child pornography put in nicer wording to throw you off.

What you draw and masturbate to is on your time, so do not place it on DeviantArt. The last thing I want to see is a little girl who barely have her breast develop have her panties pulled up tightly around her vagina area.

I love the group idea and it actually makes me want to join in groups. But to see it abused by desperate preteens who want their fan characters drawn and become popular and child pornography masturbaters is a major turnoff.

Think about the community. Not yourself and where you put your hand down your pants.
